Happy Birthday Sisters!!

27.08.2005

Hello everyone!!
I don't even know where I should start. Maybe the easiest way is from the very beginning. The party was planned, cause U can't choose the date of your birth. We all knew that it's gonna to happen in the future, but the final date was under consideration. That is how the 27. of October became the date to be remembered.
Aldona and Izabela as the women celebrating their birthdays and organizers in the same time started working very soon. One week earlier on the oven we could admire bigos, next golabki and then completely different type of 'meal' - birthday cakes. Everything smelled wonderfully and I had to constantly work on my strong will not to eat them before time. Falsestart was really close...
The reception (that was the actual character of the meeting) took place in one of the conference rooms on the ground floor. The tables were in a perfect row, beautifully set with tableware inviting guests to come in. Now it is the best time to say big 'Thank You' to our neighbour Anthony. Everything was professionally prepared thanks to him. And he didn't seem to work like that :p.
Among the guests, not taking under consideration the top 10 being bigger part of described events :), were Teresa, Bernadetta with a colleague from her work, Tomek a la surprise, but not kinder :) (do U remember our guide during the Frankfurt sightseeing??), Iza's Lukasz :D, and also Asia - the IBM-girl.
The party started traditionally from blowing the candles out on the birthday cakes . The fire brigade could sleep calmly. Everyone took their place by the table with hunted piece for themselves. And then the conversation started. Some of us found some tactics e.g. moving as a free electron ('when the food is over in one area I have to look for another one' - Jacque? ) or according to the gravitation they kept their 3 letters (4 in Polish) in one place. As time went by, the number of Polish dishes on the table increased (smells like at home, although bigos smelled with red wine). Our German, as well as Polish friends eagerly took part in the process of tasting - girls rulezzz :).
Oh! How could I forget! A few moments later join our group Anthony with his friend . As persons that were born with the ability to dance, they tried to encourage the sitting company. Without any success, unfortunately. That's why, after time-consuming preparations as the girls they made for their own party.
But we weren't as lazy as it seemed or seems. All the guests knew that the reception consisted of 2 parts. But, before the second attraction, we had to clean up a little. It wasn't so terrible cause everybody got together and we finished it as quick as a flash. Dishes shined brightly:) . At 11 p.m. sharp (read: a few minutes to midnight :)) we started our trip in the direction of Polish disco called Enigma. From the very beginning we heard the Polish music of all the styles and parts of Poland. There isn't enough free space to list all the hits. What is the most important - we all had fun dancing, joking and making stupid faces. We spent a nice time, but approximately at 3 a.m. some of us were too tired to continue the party and came back with Rüdi (laughing bus) to Kolpinghaus. As I mentioned before, some 'elements' stayed in the disco - I envy them the condition :). As a little bit dying people we fell asleep.
Here, as a rule, I should finish the story, but I just have to write that we had to pour off the party for a looooong time, some of us till 5.p.m. The girls, that woke up definitely too early looked as the ghosts in the haunted house. For breakfast, dinner and supper we ate the rest of Polish dishes (yummmi). The naps in a meantime were unavoidable. Our dear Iza set up the new record not sleeping for about 36 hours (Respect!). She is a marathon runner as no one else...
Huge thanks for a great time Bros!!
